This place changed my life. First, I have to thank Coach Joe who is an incredible instructor. He has that special coaching ability that makes you want to try extra hard when he’s watching (which is all the time). He also has the experience, knowledge, and methodology to turn you in to a real martial artist. Second, the members - just wonderful people. You might feel intimidated walking into a fight gym, but as soon as you meet the members of Strikers, you’ll know this is the right place. Everyone is there to become better, and to help the people around them become better. It’s so easy to make friends, and become part of the Strikers family. I’ve seen the completely out of shape and overweight transform into beasts. I’ve seen the most uncoordinated and awkward become fluid lethal artists. I’ve see the shy and intimidated become confident and proud. If you just want to play patty cakes and get a little sweaty, maybe this isn’t the place for you. If you want to learn to master an art and get in the best shape of your life, welcome to Strikers.

The best training and striking you'll receive in San Gabriel by far. I love this place from the bottom of my heart to the top. It has the best people, the best environment, and without a doubt the best coach. You're family once you join Strikers Inc. and I couldn't be more honored to call this place my home.

If you're intimidated by the prospect of having to actually touch other people (let alone hit/kick them/get hit/kicked by them) I understand. I understand the idea of being freaked out by the intensity of this place, or even just the prospect of entering a "dungeon" filled with ripped, sweaty, shirtless people making loud noises. But surprise, surprise, these are the nicest people, and they're not there to hurt you- they're there to teach you and to learn with you and to grow with you.

Strikers is truly a family environment, where all levels of experience and skill are welcome and function in harmony. Coach Joe is incredibly passionate and one of the most skilled teachers--in any medium--I've ever had. Trust what he's telling you. He wants you to be better, and if he's bothering to critique you, it's because he knows you CAN be better.

Yes, you'll get into better shape physically, but functional training like this, where you learn a skill/art, will improve your mental clarity and agility as well. Plus it's really fun to have friends you're encouraged to hit.

And buy a mouthguard. They're much cheaper than the alternative.

I have belonged to Strikers for 3 years and I can tell you it is a very special place. Coach Joseph Is an extraordinary teacher, who takes is a talented martial artist and passionate about the striking arts! Classes are small so you get a lot of individual attention and you get to know your fellow students. Strikers has all ages and levels of ability and we all work together.
