I never thought I had enough discipline for at-home workouts, but when the pandemic hit and we were all ordered to stay home, fitness options were limited. At first, I tried free workouts via youtube or instagram, but there were no opportunities for personal coaching or accountability. Hence it was too easy for me to not do it.
Fortunately, Coach Timmie from Hybrid House immediately organized consistent at-home workouts via Brannd Performance. And with some gentle prodding from fellow members, I took my first livestream fitness class in mid-April and haven’t looked back.
There’s a few things that I really like and appreciate about Brannd Performance’s livestream fitness classes:
- 3 livestream classes per week that are consistently scheduled,
- You can unmute and ask Coach Timmie questions during the workout,
- Fitness programming from a fitness professional with a focus on full-body functional workouts. Conversely, free workouts usually focus on just glamour muscles.
- Who actually owns fitness equipment? Coach Timmie uses household items as weights. For the first few months, I used 2 containers of Drano for hand weights (until I had a sink to unclog).
- Classes are 1 hour. Starts and ends on-time, and in between the workout will kick your ash. I burn between 600-800 calories per workout... from home!!
- After working out since I’m already at home, take a quick shower, and get on with my day. Super convenient!
