great Trail really good hike when you get to the top there is some dried out potatoes on top that people leave with messages on them which I think is very interesting to see I guess that's why they call it potato Mountain but you got to make it all the way up which I've gone with people and they've turned around halfway it's not that bad
You get rewarded with a great view once you are at the top. The way back is your second reward.
It was really fun and good for hiking there was many birds and a tiny pound
Love the trail, took me and my friend two and half hours to do the whole trail. We got there by 7am and when we got to the top, the view took my breath away. We got up there before the fog and smog rolled in, so we were able to see Downtown LA in the distance. Recommended taking a few water bottles and a snack to be safe, never know if you or someone else feels faint. But overall, love the trail and would go again.
Beautiful views, and a great workout! Out and back day hike for a total of about 7 miles. Views are well worth the steep assent. Would rate the climb a moderate to strenuous depending on the path up you decide to take to the summit. (Fire road or Ridgeline). Can also climb down to Claremont Wilderness Trail or even connect over to Marshall Canyon via CWT from there. Great for mountain bikers and hikers alike!
