“I will review Shield Health Care from the other side of the fence, as a former employee. I worked for the company for approximately six years and left on good terms. I might still be there today had it not been for personal health issues. As understand it, many of the clients I served continued ask about me long after I was gone. This is because we take an interest in our clients and their needs. Many if not most employees working directly with clients genuinely care about providing the best possible service. I know that I sure did as did my fellow co-workers in our department. My job was to make the client or caregiver's life a little easier by providing for their product needs. Let me say that the work was not always easy. Shield works within a very restrictive structure of local and federal regulations. Further there are almost countless rules and requirements to meet before a product can be shipped. Many hands are involved in each and every order. Most of the rules are not designed by Shield Health care but by Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance companies. Shield works very hard to get an order out the door. Most of this work is completely invisible to the client. I am retired now but I still recommend Shield Health Care to potential customers and to people looking for a career change. The work is often demanding but the personal rewards are price The company treats its employees well and offers many benefits.
