Dr. Huang is an awesome doctor! I am flat footed and running with flat feet have become more and more difficult for me as I grow older. I came in for orthotics and not only did I get a pair of orthotics, but I also got an education on the anatomy of my foot, how I walk and why custom made orthotics can help. Thanks to Dr. Huang, I am now able to restart my daily running routine and it is pain free.

I recently went to OPD Foot and Ankle for a bad ankle injury. The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. I was taken back to the exam room, and the staff greeted me with a smile and made me feel very comfortable. I saw Dr. Huang who was very thorough in examining my ankle and explaining my treatment plan. He took the time to make sure I knew the severity of the injury and what I would/wouldn't be able to do prior to my follow up appointment. I fully recovered in 2 weeks under his care, just in time for me to attend my best friend's wedding! I would definitely recommend OPD Foot and Ankle to my friends and family.

I am a flat foot type. This has been inhibited me from running longer distance and making Yoga balance poses difficult. I didn't think of seeing a podiatrist until feeling great discomfort at foot and ankle. I stopped all physical activities for a month but it didn't improve much. Then, I thought it was time to see a doctor for professional advice and help.

Dr Huang took time to listen to my issues, and performed a thorough exam on my foot and ankle. He suggested a pair of custom-made orthotics that will provide good arch support, which I barely have from the flat foot. In addition to lend me arch support so I can perform physical activities I wanted, it will also slow down the development of bunions. He told me I have bunions developing in both foot. That often goes hand in hand in flat foot type person. Dr Huang assured me not to worry about the bunions yet because they weren't severe enough for surgical treatment. It was a relief to me. So I decided to get a pair of custom-made orthotics and see the results.

Dr Huang got my foot impression in the office. He was very detailed in every step, and it took about 45 minutes to complete. Then I had to wait 3 weeks for the laboratory to fabricate the orthotics and return to doctor's office. I came into the office again for fitting. My pair of orthotics was perfect and it didn't need amendment. Dr Huang will make adjustment and amendment as needed. That is why fitting was required.

Since starting putting them into my shoes, I immediately felt the difference. My arches didn't sink inwards but being lifted and supported. It took a couple of days to get used to the new standing and walking sensation. I felt orthotics change the way I stand, walk, and move for better and proper posture. I have been wearing orthotics since then, and it totally helped a lot. I rarely have any more foot soreness or discomfort. I run better and hang out in balance poses longer then before.

I also got my brother and mom get orthotics from Dr Huang due to my superb experience. Both of them have flat foot, because it is in family genes :P They were very satisfied with the results, too. My brother is very tall and flat foot makes greater impact on him. He used to play basketball and go hiking but due to the foot pain he had to quit. After wearing orthotics for 6 months, he told me he started hiking again. My mom is also a hiking lover, she started complaining sore feet and ankle a few years ago. She told me after wearing orthotics, those annoying symptoms go away.

I highly recommend Dr Huang for anyone who has foot and ankle issues. He is not only professional and knowledgeable, but also caring and genuine. He doesn't rush when seeing patient. He took time to exam and listen to your physical issues, and explained his diagnosis and treatment options. Besides Dr Huang, his office staffs are also friendly and helpful. Overall, coming to this office is a good experience. Tips: call to make appointment before hand. Dr Huang sees patients by appointment. It can get busy, so call early! At last, not the least, Dr Huang is bilingual, fluent English and Mandarin.
