“The parking here is great! From my experience, there's usually plenty of spaces available here. This little Plaza area does have quite a few businesses but I never see it super busy to the point where it's hard to find a parking space. Let's get started on what this place is about, martabak! There are plenty of varieties that you can order from them! This time, I ordered the ovolmaltine, cheese, and peanuts. Regardless of the combo you order, it's going to be rich and buttery!! The one that I ordered was very delicious. The ovolmaltine is already a bit of a crunchy spread and the crushed peanuts helped give more texture as well. The cheese compliments everything with a bit of saltiness and creaminess. This treat is definitely a TREAT. I would love to eat one every day but I'm afraid I'd gain too many pounds too fast 🤣 This is a worth it indulgence though! They're pretty much the only place around here that makes martabak. I would come back to get the sweetcorn and cheese combo! NOTE: Call in your order. As far as I know, they don't allow walk-in orders. It takes around 15 to 20 minutes for each order, depending on how many they may already have.”

Besides for the service, food/pies, my favorite aspect about walking into a MC is that it feels like you've stepped into a time machine to the past. “This used to be my old college run in lieu of in & out, which everyone used to go to, but you gotta shake it up. I came here late one night with 15 of us from Architecture Studio, doors locked, and they were cleaning the grills already. Lead cook walked to the doors and said are all of you hungry, we replied starving. He said okay no beer 😂 just food. We agreed, and had the most amazing and bonding time outside of school. They opened the doors and fed us all. Haven't been back in years until today. Still just as awesome and delicious. Must try if you are in the area.”

“Pretty book designs & rosy glow fill the restaurant as decorations. Employees are mostly busy with the kitchen, bringing out food & bus tables but not waiting on tables. There is a QR on tables you can use to place an order or go to the front entrance to get the staff attention to place an order. Food is varied and tasty. I would prefer a larger portion of suiyaki, but the hot popcorn is a reliable constant. I do like that some drinks have an option to include less sugar.”

“This is the original Hawaiian BBQ in this area. Others claim to be the original, but nope, it's this one! Food is terrific for the most part. I love the chicken katsu, their beef, and their shrimp & fish. Try the combo that comes with the chicken, fish, and shrimp! The short rib combo is great too. I think it's #8. Definitely recommend those. We didnt care for the beef curry too much. It was ok; the beef was juicy & tender. It just wasnt the sort of curry we were expecting. Be sure to ask for any sauces that come with it. You have to ask for utensils now, too - new law. Only two flaws about this place: The prices on many of the items listed on the menu were incorrect when we visited the other evening. The posted menu says one price, their registers will charge you a few dollars more. Hopefully they put a new menu up soon. The other issue is this place is next to a shop that looks closed down which makes the shopping center look run down, especially at night. This attracts bums which were loitering around the corner - NOT in front of L&L thankfully! An added plus, they have a TV which had a college football game on to watch while we waited for our food.”

Place is well-lit and has A/C. The decor is interesting and they have TVs with random sports playing in the background. The food, specially the skewers, was one of my favorite parts. The chicken heart one was ok, the chicken skin one reminds me of chicharron: crispy, salty and delicious. My favorite was definitely the peeled shrimp one. The rice cake one was also surprisingly good. Beef and Chicken Thigh ones did not disappoint either. Great option for Asian fusion if you're in the area! (I drove all the way from Downtown L.A. but I'd do it again without any issues).”

“good food. nice and attentive staff. 2 appetizers and 2 noodles for 3 people plus a Thai iced tea each is a lot of food. the different kinds of rolls, charbroiled beef spring rolls and fried Northern style rice paper egg rolls, were very delicious though the prior had a tougher wrapper and hard to pull apart, but the latter was very crispy and flavorful. had the chef's special oxtail noodle soup with extra noodles where the flavors are legit but the oxtail could use a little use more time so the meat can fall right off the bones and be slightly less dry. Charbroiled Beef with Vermicelli & Eggrolls are authentic. would definitely come back again. conveniently located, easy to find, plenty of parking.”
