(March 11, 2019, 10:59 am)I was a student at Saint Albert grade school, beginning in 1962, for fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grade.
My favorite teacher was Sister Mary Marcella. She was strict but a wonderful educator. I also loved Mrs. Ives, Mrs. Dogué, and especially, Mrs. Charles, my 6th grade teacher, who died mid-year. We were eleven year old children, weeping and praying our rosaries, so sad and tearful at the loss of our teacher.
I still remember numerous friends, like Ricky Williams, Phillip Lechuga, Lloyd Hardy, Mary Susan Orneales, (my BFF IN 5th thru 7th!), and Susan Bullen, (my other BFF since Kindergarten at Ardella B. Tibby elementary school.). Oh how I’d love to reconnect with them! These are fond memories as I turn 66 years old this year. I am so very grateful for the love and religious education that I received at St Albert The Grest. I also made my first Holy Communion and Confirmation at this great school. Such fond memories.
I carry my prayers and hymns and our Latin mass in my heart forever. Thank you, St Albert The Great School, for the best education I received during my young life.
