SO happy this collection of trees was so close to San Francisco! Breathtakingly stunning and awe-inspiring! It was so peaceful to take this walk through the woods less than an hour from the bustle of the big city.
I did keep an eye out for Caesar though. ????
The air. My goodness. The air here is so crisp and fresh and cool and the hikes are varied, from slow, easy walks to long and challenging climbs. If you want to escape from the stress of the city, this is the place to go for sure. The redwoods are magnificent and it's just so quiet here aside from the chirping of the birds and rustling of the leaves and the bubbling of the creeks :))
Being there shows how amazing nature truly is. I felt so dwarfed by the trees and humbled by the tranquility and peace I found during the time there. However, it is very important to note that all visitors have to purchase a parking ticket online first before entering the area. There is limited or no connectivity there. To turn back to purchase the ticket takes a long time and you'll have to brave the treacherous winding roads.
What an absolutely magnificent park! The trees are truly one of the most spectacular sights you will see. And the park is laid out well, with a boardwalk trail for the most popular poop, and dirt trails for those looking to go out a bit longer. The nice bit about this park of course is it’s proximity to SF, and it gives you a nice taste for what the wilderness of Northern California is like!
An enchanted magical forest! It was a beautiful day to visit the park. The crisp misty air, the scent, the green & the trees. Its truly a natural tree museum. Loved the experience. Really liked how the park offers a boardwalk. Well preserved & maintained.
