Excellent service excellent tasting and I don’t even like wine. The waitress was very friendly and was able to pick wines for me that I actually enjoyed. Thank you A+
Beautiful spot to sit and drink, inside and out. And inside they have a nice selection of wine tools and accompaniments.
They have a variety of tastings, with chocolates if you’d like. We definitely recommended enjoying the patio and ask for Luke! He was very informative and educational, sharing about the family history of the winery, the Meritage name, the grape history, etc.
Our favorites were definitely the Father Mathew Cab and Petit Syrah. Wonderful wine!!! Wonderful experience!
TLDR: Had a bad experience and wanted to cancel my membership, spoke with Nicole from Trinitas and reconsidered cancelling.
I have been trying to cancel my years-long membership since this past Saturday. Here's why:
I don't exactly live close to Napa, but close enough to where I prefer to pick up my shipments every quarter. I had a range event in Richmond, so I figured I'd shoot up to Napa before heading home. I realize I was not dressed nearly as nice as I normally would when I'd go to Trinitas, yet I was only picking up my wine. IMO, gas is too high now to make a separate trip out to Napa.
Anyhoo, I walk in wearing jeans, hoodie, crocs (I changed into them to drive), N95 mask, and shades. My helper (I later learned her name is Kim) looked me up and down but wasn't rude about it. She took my name and left to collect my wine. I noticed a woman in red standing across the bar scowling at me and she tried to smile. She walked over to me to ask me if I was being helped and I politely said yes. Someone else came across the room to ask me if I was being helped. I said yes. I'm starting to wonder where Kim is with my wine. After a bit she comes out with my wine, hands it to me, I sign for it, and she walks off with my information on the iPad on the counter. I realize I need to change my address, so I wait until she's done attending to the patrons on the patio and I flag her down. I tell her what I need and she repeatedly tells me "We don't need it since we don't ship [your wine]". I pushed back but she wouldn't let me change my address. I left with my wine after asking her to clear my information from the iPad (she started walking away leaving it unattended again), and was halfway to American Canyon when I realized my billing address is ultimately why I needed to change my address. I called twice on my way home and attempted to leave two voicemails (I believe the second one was successful) and have been trying to call all morning to no avail. I would not have left this review if someone had just answered ONE of the phone calls I've made over this weekend.
My one membership is probably just a drop in the bucket for Trinitas since their wine is exceptional and I've never experienced anything like this anytime I've visited, yet I thought they'd like to know how their staff treat people who don't "seem to belong". Like I said, I had been outside for four hours prior yet I wasn't dirty and was only doing a pickup. I was already self-conscious about my appearance so I had no intention of staying any longer than I had to. I'd like my membership cancelled. ASAP.
UPDATE:
Just spoke with Nicole from Trinitas (she received my voicemail) and she was very empathetic about my experience. I really do enjoy enjoy their wines and events, so I reconsidered cancelling my membership as long as this doesn't prove to be a continuing issue.
Cab Francis was one of my favorites.
Kim was amazing! She knew and anticipated everything perfectly. It was an amazing experience.
