A cute spot a little ways outside town, but glad we made the trip (the truck location in Truckee was closed for the season when we were there). Lots of outdoor seating and plenty of shade which was great. A nice patio and grassy area for dogs or kids. The ice cream was creamy and smooth with fun unique flavors like campfire and Truckee trails as well as classics like chocolate and mint chip.
This was a cool place, fun little lakeside ice cream shop. They have good ice cream, with some unique flavors. I did not however like the caramel sauce, but you might. I did see them putting marshmallow topping, then toasting it with a torch on another customers ice cream and that looked brilliant.
For gluten free eaters, they did have one option labeled GF, but ice cream in general is pretty safe.
Absolutely delicious! Perfectly creamy and so many delectable flavors. What fresh ice cream should taste like. From the perfectly balanced chocolates to the creaminess of the Truckee Trails flavor to the diary free sorbets - every flavor deserves recognition. The mint chip is made with real mint! Current specialty flavor is blueberry honey lavender, but they also have classics like vanilla and spooner strawberry. We keep coming back every year (multiple times every trip) because it’s also a great family and dog friendly setting.
Such good ice cream!!! And very kind service, too. That said, not inexpensive, but chances are you're on vacation when you eat here, so treat yourself (and your dog) and enjoy!
Very tasty. Service was good and is a really fun spot to sit and relax. Lots of seating available outside and a really cool area where the kids all played some corn hole in the shade
