Progeny Psychiatric Clinic - Dana Point

I'm a freshman at UCI and I've never felt so depressed and anxious in my life. I consider myself a pretty high achieving individual but college gave me a reality check. I used to excel in school but now I struggle sooooo much. I'm very career driven and I genuinely want to study and learn but my anxiety gets the best of me. I would set aside my weekends just to study but instead I would curl up in my bed full of anxiety... unable to do anything but cry about how I mentally don't have the strength to overcome my anxiety to study. I felt so miserable and helpless. I got free therapy at UCI and my therapist referred me to this place. She didn't have any recommendations so I just booked the first available nurse practitioner? I'm not sure if they're all equal but maybe I just got lucky with mine because she has been life changing for me. I started taking meds for my anxiety and omg I now know what it feels like to be a normal person??? I wish I started coming here earlier so I wouldn't have had to struggle so much and enjoyed myself being in college and having fun :/

I feel great that I found a psychiatrist I can work with longterm honestly. I can tell that Kristi Lobesco actually listens to me to get a full picture of my life and also offered other supports that were not medication related, she’s amazing and the staff are very polite and kind as well!
