Thai Nakorn Restaurant

I've been eating at the sister Thai Nakorn in Stanton for maybe 20 years ...... Love it ! So I decided to give the Garden Grove location a try because it was on my way home from Costa Mesa. The quality of the food is as excellent as the Stanton location. When I arrived, the restaurant was not busy (not even half filled). I placed my take out order and waited for my food....and waited....and waited....and waited. I eventually saw a take out order brought out to the counter, but nobody called for me. So I assumed that it was for some one else, and waited and waited and waited. Someone finally checked the take out order on the counter and called for me to pick up my food. 40 minutes is a bit too long to wait for take out when a restaurant is slow. Maybe the staff was not very observant that night... After I checked my order, everything was there, but I ordered a "pot" of steamed rice and only saw a small container with rice. If I ordered the same amount of food at a Chinese or Japanese restaurant I would have received twice as much rice for free. I don't mind paying for rice, but when you call the order a "pot" of rice, don't give me the equivalent of 2 bowls and call it a "pot." The woman at the register was very kind and gave me an additional small container of rice (equivalent of 1 bowl) on the house. Excellent customer service ! So after a long unexplained wait for food that sat on the counter for a long time and getting surprised by how little rice you receive for something described as a "pot" of rice, my meal was quite enjoyable. Yes, I will be back because the food is just that good ! I must have gone on an off night.

Been coming here for many years. Recently, the quality of the food has gone up again to how it was pre COVID. Spacious restaurant. Good food. Kind servers.

Delicious Thai food, clean environment, excellent service, reasonable prices! My family of 7 had a great experience eating here and will be returning in the future for all our Thai cravings! I tried to write a review on Yelp but for some reason it did not work, so I’ll post here on google! I recommend the Thai tea, spicy basil beef fried rice, bbq beef, Tom yum seafood soup, papaya salad and pad Thai!

The Thai ball noodle and beef pangnan are amazing!!! The durian sweet rice is not that good though, since the rice is not soft enough and the durian is not of good quality. Overall, I recommend this place.

Good service first time eating Thai they gave good recommendations. Constantly check up on their guests. Only thing I didn't like was the lemonade was not good at all like a 2/10 had a heavy heavy tap water taste and almost a little burning sensation while drinking. It's also 4 bucks for half a cup of ice and lemonade.
