Westhaven Park

Nice little fire department themed playground at this park. There is a lot of open space to play soccer or any other field sport. There's a small hall that I'm guessing you can tent for any special occasion. Restrooms were closed on a Friday so that was a bummer, thus the 4 starts. Fire department is right next to this park so it's great to have that safety aspect close by in case of emergencies.

We visited the playground at this park. It was really nice! I was a little unsure as I approached it on foot. It is surrounded by chain-link fencing. But I felt completely safe there with my two young kids, especially since it's next to the fire station. It is almost brand new. there is a smaller structure for little kids shaped like a fire engine. And a taller structure for older kids. My three-year-old loved it. The ground surface of the playground is pressed rubber. That was perfect for my 6 month old to crawl around too. There is a large, fenced-in field to the side of the playground which was great for kicking a soccer ball around. There were bathrooms, but I didn't use them. Also a functioning water fountain.
