Lakeside Hospice Care

The team was professional, but most importantly kind and responsive to my mom’s care. Each staff member took time to listen to our needs, while ensuring my mom’s constant change in health was met with dignity and love. Over the 3 months of time that my mom was in hospice the team of care takers became family. Although this was probably the hardest time to face as a daughter, these amazing nurses helped the family with the process of life and death in a loving manner. We will miss mom dearly, but are thankful for the Lakeside team and their passion for serving others.

Very glad we chose Glenn and Carol. My sister’s passing came quickly after many years of battling cancer. Carol and Glenn were very responsive and attentive, their staff Carlos was on point too. Excellent team and forever grateful for their guidance. This was our second experience with hospice care.

Lakeside was absolutely amazing taking care of my Mom in her time of need. Everyone was absolutely wonderful! They were there for everything I needed and asked. If you ordered meds they were there in one hour. The nurses and office staff was at your beck and call any time of day. You couldn't ask for better head nurse than Carlo. They always treated my Mom and I with amazing and compassion. When the end came for my Mom, she was able to be in her own home surrounded by her loved ones and her comfortable surroundings.

I can't thank Lakeside Hospice enough for the kindness and care that they showed to my mother and to us, her children, during her precious final days. Carol worked hard to obtain the physician's discharge order to expedite our mother's trip home from the hospital. She and Glenn also patiently explained in detail all of the meds we needed to administer and when. The follow-up nurses, Ken and Carlo, were also so compassionate and helpful when they stopped by over the next few days to check on us. And they all reminded us several times that we can call them anytime we needed anything or had an emergency—even during Thanksgiving week. We especially appreciated Carlo's decision to place the order for continuous care nurses to be at our side during our mother's final two days. In the end, she was able to pass peacefully at her home as she had wished and surrounded by her family and friends. And Lakeside Hospice made sure that she was as comfortable as possible and able to maintain her sense of dignity to the very end.

If you live in Orange County and are looking for an agency to provide excellent and compassionate hospice and palliative care for your loved one, I can't imagine you'll do any better than Lakeside. They have my most enthusiastic recommendation.

Our Family was so blessed to have Lakeside Hospice Care, help with making our Loved one as comfortable and loved as he could possibly be.
