Balboa Island baking company

Ventured out to Balboa for a quick honeymoon. This was the first breakfast/bakery place we happened upon and thank goodness for that! The cheddar, chive, and bacon scone with an egg on top was delicious! Highly recommend! And their cinnamon rolls are perfect for a shared sweet treat! The only sad part was that everything was so good, no photo evidence could be obtained in time to share. 😁 Maybe next time!

I have a high standard for cinnamon rolls and these didn’t disappoint!! Yeasted dough, a generous amount of cinnamon, brown sugar and a pool of frosting made for a delicious treat. Big enough to share but not too big if you absolutely had to eat it by yourself 😉.

I give my stars on looks alone. Watched the KTLA profile of this bakery this morning and oh I wished I lived closer to get one of those cinnamon rolls. If I'm ever in the "neighborhood" I'll definitely stop by for one. Or does a 3 hour drive qualify as being in the neighborhood??

We love this bakery! We stop by every time we are in Newport Beach. Their carrot cake is amazing! Don’t leave without a cinnamon roll in a bag and a some phenomenal sourdough too. The staff is so friendly and great.
