I love riding long distance on my 2015 BMW k1600gt. My last trip was over 5000 miles in 8 days. I rode from Michigan to San Diego and back. The trip was GREAT! But I couldn't have done it with out my AIRHAWK seat cushion!!! The AIRHAWK provides a new level of comfort for long rides. I inflate the AIRHAWK with light air pressure and then adjust when I am seated. It seems like the air is almost all out when the seat becomes perfectly in balance not to firm not too soft but fully supportive. I have owned my AIRHAWK for several years and the build quality is excellent. I have gone through 3 different bikes with the same AIRHAWK seat cushion. Strongly Suggest You Buy One For Your Next Ride!!
I bought a large seat cushion in January. I put it in my patrol car and it was a game changer. After 28 years and being 6’ 4”, I am having some circulation issues. A hole developed in the seam. I called the warranty number and left a message. Tracy Dumont called me back the next day. She was very polite and professional. She solved my problem and walked me through the process. I got the replacement in the mail super quick. Absolutely no issues and perfect customer service!!! Already purchased one for my Electra glide. Like I said, its a game changer.
I have two Airhawk R seat pads. Although they have individual ribs and a center channel for better air circulation I don't find that much air gets in to cool. That said, it took me some serious ride time and adjusting to get the right amount of air in the cushion, which is really barely any at all. Now that I have it right, my cushion is perfect and so comfortable.
I'm not just talking about short rides to the store, bar, and back home. I've been on several 1,000 mile plus rides (within 24 hour periods) and been all around the USA sitting on my Airhawk R and I love it. It's made our of durable material and hasn't worn a bit. The bottom has a grip rubber so it stays on your seat as you mount and dismount without moving. If you find you are sitting low in the seat, you can fill more air and raise yourself. The same for taller people, more air will give you an extra inch. I bet the circulation would work much better with more air. I know others that swear by other cushions, but after two years of use, I love my Airhawk R. Thanks for a great product.
Love the comfort of my AIRHAWK but the cover started to disintegrate after 4 months and 1200 miles. I live in North West Ohio so it's not like it was exposed to blazing sun. I don't ride in the rain and my cycle is kept in the garage when not on the road. I called customer service and had to leave a message, no one returned my call but I did receive an email offering a ten dollar discount towards the purchase of a new seat cover. At this rate I will need 2 covers per year at about 25 dollars each. I am a disappointedly customer!
Just heard from AIRHAWK and they were very helpful and sent me a new cover. Happy customer!
