  Sam is hands down the best mechanic I've been to. I took my Prius to him for repair after the AC quit working and the Toyota dealer quoted me a huge amount to get it fixed. Sam did a diagnosis and found that the $1500 part the dealer wanted to replace was actually working perfectly fine and the problem was just a coolant leak!! He really takes the time to explain the problem and his thought process, as well as pricing and options along the way. Oh and he got it fixed over the holiday weekend in a heat wave. Can't recommend Highway 40 Auto Care highly enough!

  What a gem!! Sam is now my new mechanic!! I had a blown head gasket on a Toyota Prius, and Sam was extremely knowledgeable and trustful. 5/5 rating I’m so happy to have a caring mechanic finally!!

  I cannot tell you how many times I have taken my car to be repaired over the years, only to have Auto Repair Service Departments take advantage of my lack of automotive understanding. A friend referred me to Sam, after having had a great experience with her car. I feel so fortunate to finally have found someone who patiently and simply explained the problem I was having, the options for repair, pricing estimates and time-frame for completing the work. Sam delivered on all the expectations and I cannot recommend him highly enough. My jaguar is running like a charm. An excellent mechanic, and a lot less expensive than other places I was quoted for the same job. Super nice guy!

  Historic Highway 40 Auto Care was referred to me by a friend in Auburn, for his Honda Pilot. He has been using this firm, and the work by owner Sam for years.
  I took my 2006 Honda Ridgeline truck to Sam, for some expensive repairs a Honda dealer recommended. The Honda dealer did not give me very much information regarding how urgent the repairs needed to be taken care of or details of cost, only a lump sum.
  Sam checked the problem areas out in great detail with me, and the cost was very reasonable compared to the dealer.
  His quality of work was absolutely top notch, one of the best mechanics I have ever had work done for me in the last 50 years, as an 80 year old senior, who is familiar with cars!
  Highly recommend Sam!!!

  My wife had Sam service her 2005 Acura. Sam was nice enough to take it in with no appointment and got it done right away.
  Sam is the only one I would trust to work on my wife's car other than myself. AND I USED TO OWN THE PLACE HAHAHAHA!
