Black Bear Diner Auburn

This has been one of my favorite go to places for an awesome breakfast meal. The menu selection is awesome and the staff are even better. My wife and I had a fun snowball fight with the bear suit guy here back in 2013 and awesome memories have been made here

Only stopped
to use the restroom on the way down from Truckee. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained however I was very surprised they were very few people and at this time of day . Thank you Black Bear Diner. I'll definitely come back and have a meal there.

The food was SO good, as was the service. My friend and I went in around 1:30 on a Wednesday. There was plenty of seating. Everything was very clean. Our portions were so huge, we both had a box full of leftovers to take home after.

It was one of the best experiences that I had visiting a Black Bear restaurant since I was a kid.

Lisa was our server an accommodated us as though we were her own family.

Every interaction that we had with her was pleasant and appreciated. She was especially good with our 6yr old Teresa who only likes poached eggs but had never tried hollandaise sauce before.

It was the perfect stop after our vacation at Lake Tahoe, I will drive the extra distance to go to that Black Bear again, even though there are much closer ones here that are good.

This one in Auburn was outstanding.

It was also nice to see the other servers joking and playing with the cooks, it made for a happy atmosphere, and they were still VERY efficient.

Great atmosphere. Great food! Big portions and clean. The juke box is a rockin' too!
