A very lovely breakfast spot with a charming ambiance and excellent swift service. The omelets were ordered were delicious, fluffy with a good amount of cheese, spinach and bacon with nice crispy potatoes and decent coffee. We loved it.
Had the hot pastrami sandwich for lunch. The sandwich was really good. Lean meat, fresh bread and hot when served. We went last month in the middle of the week so there was no wait. The server did not have much of a personality and I felt like we were more of a duty to her rather than a couple that she wanted to provide excellent service for. This is a very fun place when locals are there partying to the live music behind the building in the outdoor sitting area.
The food was phenomenal, well worth the wait if you go during their busy hours. Reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. While waiting, you can get a coffee and wait outside for your table! Would come back again and again if the vacation days allowed!
This morning I met some friends for a quick bite before heading back to Reno to work. The server was quick to get me a menu and promptly took my order. Because I was in somewhat of a rush, I ordered a 1/2 order of Biscuits and Gravy. It was the perfect size and amount and not too much like biscuits and gravy can tend to be. Even though it was smothered in gravy, the biscuit was really good and had that homemade taste. The gravy was good and that of the usual gravy taste, but nothing to super rave about. It was nice to sit at the bar in the sun room and be able to watch cars pass by and people walking. As I left, I saw what looked to be a patio area with tables and a makeshift stage. I'm interested if they have live music and plan to call and find out.
A charming gem on the Northside of Lake Tahoe. We have eaten here twice so far and we have all left satisfied each time and had some yummy food. If you have a larger group I would recommend getting there a little early but with a group of 3-6 we never had to wait more than a couple minutes. The waitstaff were all very cooperative with each other and super friendly. My favorite thing I ate here was the Deluxe French Toast, but I wasn't disappointed with anything I tried.
