(September 22, 2022, 5:29 pm)Seems like the other 1 star reviews are either vague or rating a minor aspect of this department. I just went in, said I needed to pull a permit for a project, followed the directions as instructed, paid my fees, and now I'm getting email updates for what I need to do next. Simple and straightforward. The front desk receptionist, payment clerk, info clerk, and building/safety clerk were all kind individuals that answered my questions. I had 4 people in front of me and waited 15 minutes, which is nothing. This was one of the best city permit pulling experiences I've had so far, and I've dealt with 15 different cities so far. If you need something answered, go in person, people are busy, they can't always take your call to answer. The receptionist doesn't know every answer to your question. Don't bother emailing, again, these people are very busy. Always best to go in person.
