Marie created Australian history by having my child sent home via the Hague convention in what was an unprecedented event: Usually, the other parent has 6 weeks to prepare for court and my ex husband had 1 hour. My ex husband is also an attorney.

The Hague Convention is an extremely complex system to navigate through and my representative out of the Australian Attorney General's office, was also incredibly impressed by the way in which Marie orchestrated having my daughter returned to me.

The judge asked my daughter in his chambers if she wanted to return back to Australia to be with me and (in a state of shock), she said, "no". The judge still ruled in our favour and my daughter was put on a plane back to Australia immediately.
