“This place is beautiful. There are tons of rocks and cactus with an epic view of downtown Riverside. It has all paved trails. Trails are pretty steep inclines perfect for a walk or jog. There are usually many people there. It is dog friendly. No drinking fountains. Parking is tricky so plan ahead and read no parking signs carefully.”

“Always a great place to hike. It's not real challenging and it's pretty well paved with some dirt paths. Lots of beautiful views and of course tons of photo ops. I like going in the afternoon when it starts getting cooler to see the sunset from up high.”

“If you have a dog and want to have your pup mingle. Then this is a good place to visit. For those who love hiking, a hiking trail is located just a few steps from there. It's very peaceful and a very enjoyable trail.”

“The paved pathway to the top of Mt Rubidoux makes the walk safe and enjoyable and follows the Leave No Trace principle of traveling on durable surfaces. The old dirt trails were nice but were often washed away and people doing shortcuts through areas off trail caused issues with the trails so staying on the wide paved pathway is good all the way around. The pathway is wide enough that faster walkers won't be hampered by slower walkers, strollers can be used for small children, and it is safe.”

“I came here to the RCRCD grounds every Wednesday last summer for the California Naturalist program, it was life changing for everyone who took part in the course. The grounds themselves are nicely maintained, host an excellent array of native flora alongside ornamental vegetation, and the classrooms are homely. Erin Snyder and Erika Presley, two of the staff members here, made such an immense impact on all of us who took the course, and their positive impacts will be remembered throughout our lifetimes. If you have a drive to learn about your local ecosystems, urban-wildlife interface, and conservation techniques, the RCRCD is the place to be!”

“There are great views from the top of the mountain of Riverside especially downtown as well as a large portion of the inland empire as a whole. The cross and the flag at the top are very picturesque and make for a good ending to a hike.”
