Gary R. Ackerman DDS

After moving to the Sacramento area a few years ago, I was struggling with making a commitment in finding a family dentist. It was a big decision for me and I wanted to make sure I was making the right choice. This may sound silly to some, but being in the field , I know that they are not all created equal. I have known of Dr. Ackerman’s reputation and have spoken with many of his patients over the years who have nothing but good things to say. I am so pleased with my choice! I was seen in their office today and it went so smoothly. Everyone was super sweet from the scheduling coordinator to the hygienist. Let me just tell you, the staff is just as important as the doctor! Dr. Ackerman sat down with me and walked me through all of my x-rays and previous treatments that had been completed. He didn’t make me feel bad for not having an exam in a couple of years. He was able to touch up a rough spot on one of my molars and sent me away as a proud member of the cavity free club (got lucky this time). I have scheduled appointments for my entire family and although there is a bit of a wait to get in (a couple of weeks), trust me it is worth it!

In December 2020 I first went to Dr. Gary Ackerman DDS. His assistant was the kindest and most quietly, genuinely reassuring medical staff member I have met. Dr. Ackerman explained all that needed to be done, and then every step as the work was being done. Each member of the staff, Dr. Ackerman himself, his assistants, hygienists, receptionists, and insurance billing person, all are impressively knowledgeable, capable, and caring. The work is both noticeably comfortable during the procedures and as you live with the results. During treatment your blood pressure goes down!, and when reminded of an appointment you look forward to it. I trust and strongly recommend the knowledge, experience, and skills and heart of Dr. Ackerman, and his team.

Dr Ackerman is the best! My family have been clients for over 30 years and he has always been a top-notch dentist. He is especially good with nervous patients (like me) and I would recommend him to all!

I absolutely LOVE this dental office. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. The dental hygienists are all amazing and the front staff are all so sweet. Dr Ackerman is wonderful, down to earth and honest and true.
