Family Friends Veterinary Hospital

I called on Friday morning after I noticed late the night before that my baby kitty (less than a year old) was limping when I returned home from work. The staff answered promptly, demonstrated empathy and got me an appointment the next day in the morning. After I dropped off my cat the Doctor called me to go over his opinion with detail. I felt that he cared about my cats well being. The nurse then called me to go over prices. It was more than I anticipated on paying but worth every penny to make sure my cat isn’t in pain. The staff reasoned with me, was very understanding of my situation and helped me achieve a treatment plan that didn’t affect my kitty but saved me $. The staff gave me a time estimate for how long they would have her in their care which was met. After arriving back to pick up my cat, the staff again was very informative, patient and kind. (I had lots of questions). Overall, I am so thankful to have found a vet to love on my fur baby in care of me. I appreciate all of the staff that worked with me and will certainly refer pet owners to consider Family Friends Vet Hospital.

You performed surgery and treated my buddy's 14 year old Chihuahua mix dog after he was attacked by the household's 2 pit bulls after 3 vets turned us away as booked solid, and then the 24 hour emergency vet turned us away, with a list of vets, while telling us that Folsom or El Dorado Hills vets would be our best bet for having ANY openings even if they were the furthest. We stopped at a local store briefly where my friend ran into someone that used to work at Family Friends and when he related his story, she gave him the contact information for Family Friends, as she had been a previous employee. When we contacted you, you scheduled him for (the first appointment after your only surgeon's surgery!) 2:40 THAT SAME DAY. The explanation of issues and treatments were clear and concise. Staff was friendly and professional. My friend's furry (and , now holey) "son" was well taken care of and sewn up beautifully! Keep up the GREAT work. You ARE appreciated!

The staff here are so kind, honest, and caring! The office is always clean and we'll laid out, and with Covid-19 their safety procedures are on point! We recently had to take in one of my cat's for a senior quality of life assessment that led to a difficult decision to put her to sleep. The doctor and staff were kind enough to let us make the decision late in the day and come in just as they were closing. They did not rush us and were truly compassionate through the entire appointment. My parents also take their dogs here and have always had wonderful experiences (which is why we chose to go to them in the first place). I can not recommend them enough!

I was so impressed with everyone. Me being a nervous mom, was a little rattled and sometimes I get brain freeze when I am nervous, but all the staff was so patient they helped me to feel relaxed. and our girl-cat Fiona was very relaxed and staff said she was calm. We are very happy to have found Family friends veterinary hospital and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them!
