We were very impressed with the tour of American House St. Petersburg. The facility is lovely--immaculate and beautifully decorated. Teresa gave us a wonderful tour.
Wonderful new community, with lots of activities for the residents, great food and caring associates. Beautiful theater, pool, salon lots of amenities. It feels more like a resort than a senior community
We moved mom to American House to be closer to us and it has been nothing short of a blessing. Mom has made new friends, loves the activities provided and the facilities are spotless. All in all we couldn’t ‘be happier with our choice. You can tell that the people who work there really care about the residents and family members too - a plus!
I have resided here sense June 2022.
My experience has been excellent.
I live in the independent section in the least expensive apartment. 1 br, enormous bath, livingroom and kitchen, washer/dryer with very high ceilings overlooking the grounds on the 3rd floor. + 2 meals a day and weekly housekeeping.
I moved here from my own house that i built in 1985.
This is the nicest place I've ever lived, resimbling a fancy hotel.
I've had experience with facilities such as this. My dad lived in another comparable local place for the last 4 years of his life where i visited him at least every other day. I though it was nice but this one has it beat.
The staff is very attentive, calling me by name and asking after my every need. I can't find a negative thing to say.
The location is ideal. It's right next to shopping, post office, banks, health facilities and convenient interstate access.
There are a number of such facilities in this community. Many of my friends also in retirement chose other communities. I was drawn to this one because it is a newly constructed facility with modern electricity, plumbing, etc. It is also in the next to least evacuation area E, which proved to be a big advantage with the recent hurricane Ian. They were well prepared for the storm with food and employees. There is an electrical generator to provide uninterrupted electrical service. We had occasional interruptions in WiFi but standard cable TV was always available. Management is unobtrusive and friendly. The residents represent a broad spectrum of professional and geographical diversity. It is very pleasant to meet so many of them at dinner, and dining companions often change since there is random seating. The location is perfect for close shopping. In searching for something negative to say, the only thing I can come up with is that I don't like the SOFT water. I can live with that.
