The food was great but we weren't really hungry. Next time we'll order more. I love everything but the atmosphere wasn't as romantic as I was hoping. Staff was awesome.
I visited Rudy’s twice while I was in town for work. I’ve had a lot of clam chowder and this one was the best! The seafood Louis salad did not disappoint. It was loaded with shrimp, crab and lobster. If I ever make it back to Sacramento, I will definitely return to Rudy’s!
Rudy's has been an important part of Sacramento for decades. I would say that you haven't really experienced Sacramento without going to Rudy's at least once. The atmosphere is warm with beautiful and unique artwork. The service is great. But most importantly the food is amazing. If you are looking for a top notch meal to entertain clients, or an important celebration, this is the place.
I have been coming here for years. I love the fact that you can pick your lobster. I'm a huge fan of lobster and filet. Their filet is always cooked to perfection as is the lobster. They are known for their prime rib and lobster. I prefer filet but the prime rib is amazing.
I always order the escargot appetizer. Yum. They come in a small size heavy muffin type pan. They place the escargot in a mushroom cap and season it to perfection. I love these. I had the lobster potstickers as well the last time I was here and they were really good. The calamari is excellent as well.
Last year on my birthday I ordered the 14-16 oz. tail. Yep, tail. Big one. Wow. Impressive. It will cost you but you deserve it.
Oh, don't leave without getting the chocolate mousse. Heaven. Enjoy. Bon Appétit.
Great server: Jim S., and everyone from hostess, seater, bartenders and bussers everyone was friendly, professional and attentive; especially Jim he timed the arrival of our food just right it came out hot and we didn’t feel “rushed” between courses.
I believe one of owners (tall, older gentleman with sling) seated us, very sweet and accommodating.
Ambiance very nice, great lighting not to bright or dark and artwork beautiful and fun without being pretentious, casual dress or work casual fits in perfectly.
Food Amazing!!! value to portion sizes Excellent!!! All that we were served and our neighbors looked just like pictures.
Red Lobster is school cafeteria compared to here.
Just wish there was more than 5 pieces of LOBSTER POT STICKERS to an order because it was that good and in combination with dipping sauce perfect. 🤤.

Fried Calamari strips: very generous portion (thick) but tender, hot & juicy NOT rubbery and cocktail sauce had just the right amount of spice. 😋
Lobster Ravioli: FILLED with lobster & claw meat and served with rich cream sauce topped with Shrimp & Parmesan cheese 👌🏼 Pasta was not chewy.
King Crab Legs: meaty, sweet, hot, tender, juicy, fresh salt ocean taste and needed NO butter.🤙🏼
Boston Clam Chowder: thick, rich, hot and the pepper Bacon brought it up a notch, so good. 😃
Food was NOT over or under seasoned, oily or salty. Drinks are Not watered down.
We will definitely be back and hopefully Jim S will be there. 🥰
