The Learning Years Academy Preschool and Childcare Center

Ms. Helga has cared for my son since he was 3 years old, he is now turning 6 this month. For starters, I am one of the pickiest people about anything really lol but especially everything to do with my kids. There is no one I trust more with my child than her. She truly cares about my son and I feel it through her actions. She is patient but has structure which is what my son and all children need. Everything is consistently clean and organized. Thank you, Ms. Helga, for everything you do!

My daughter attended The Learning Years Academy for over two years until she went to Kindergarten in August 2020. She absolutely loves Ms. Helga and her staff. Pre the COVID guidelines on meals with the kids bringing lunch, she loved Ms. Helga's cooking and would beg for it at home! She has since started kindergarten and is way ahead of the lessons they are working on thanks to The Learning Years. The last day of her attendance was truly heartbreaking to leave for our family.
My son attended off and on for the last few years but did move to school earlier as he is older than my daughter. My son was booted from 3 other preschools prior to enrolling with The Learning Years. His confidence as shot. Ms. Helga was amazing with my son and went above and beyond to help him be successful - which is no easy feat. She really worked with him and we saw great improvements in his behavior and even eating a broader range of food (he's extremely selective).
If you have the opportunity, The Learning Years is absolutely the best ever - and I can compare it to three other area schools in Folsom & Gold River. The only negative is the kids missing it so much when they are in elementary school.

My daughter started attending the Learning Years Academy when she turned 2 years old, she has been there one year now. She is thriving! She loves being challenged and is learning at a pace that is comfortable for her. She enjoys phonics, learning numbers, learning new German and Spanish words, new songs, playing outside, playing with her friends and doing all of the different arts and crafts. The school is very clean and well run, offers healthy foods for the little ones, and Ms. Helga is great with the children. Her expectations are clear and she is also very proactive in keeping the kids safe and healthy which is comforting to me as a parent. I would definitely recommend this school.

My youngest will be graduating from the learning years academy this year. We enjoy the structure and everything done to prepare for her school years ahead. Phonics, sight words, numbers and math. All while introducing Spanish and providing freshly prepared meals each day. I couldn't ask for a better preschool. My little one enjoys her friends and absolutely loves her teacher.

The Learning Years Academy is a very nice place and friendly to take your children! Mrs. Helga is wonderful, patient and kind with kids. My little daughter loves to go here!
