Amazingly friendly and diverse place to worship
Friendly, friendlier , friendliest‼️
My fiancee and I recently became members; this is my perspective. If you're a young professional in the Sac area there is no synagogue that is more vibrant than this one. We have events for young professionals (hosted by the MLC2030 committee) several times a month. If you join us you will feel welcomed. This is a very active synagogue. The sanctuary is beautiful and it's also glued to Shalom School, the Jewish primary school, so the location is perfect. When it comes to sustainability they also take the cake, especially when it comes to waste-reduction. The only downside is that during services they usually do not announce the page numbers, so unless you have everything memorized you will get lost sometimes.
The community that got me to attend services again. Friendly, diverse, welcoming, fun. And the choir is heavenly.
