He is excellent! Warned me about my tires that still have plenty of tred on them. Had them checked out but they never looked at the other side of the tires. Underneath the car. He was right!!! I had a blown out tire coming from the Bay area. UGH
This happened less than a week from being warned.

These guys are just good mechanics. It's a small, unassuming shop but they're nice, they don't try to up-sell you, they get the work done quickly and they communicate well. I've taken 30 year old beaters and 5 year old hybrids to them and have always ALWAYS been very happy with their work and their customer service.

I went to the downtown location. I The work was done on time, which I appreciated because I had to wait. (Good coffee shop across the street.) I was from out of the area so I was glad that the shop was so easy to get to from the jungle of the Sac freeway system. Also, I needed to call several times over the previous few weeks to ask questions and each time Al was courteous and knowledgeable. Only downside is the restroom.

Al has worked on my girlfriends Honda and my Chevy Tahoe. He does an excellent job at very fair prices. I highly recommend Honest Engine to my friends and family. Keep up the great work Al!
