While in California assisting on the August Complex Fire, we had a PTO Failure on our Tender, Golden State was the closest Pierce Dealer, 6 hours from our location. We made contact with Steve Perez, who was able to help locate the needed parts for the next morning. Our rig arrived and was taken straight back for repair. We were back in service in a few hours fully repaired, and able to get back to fighting fire. The employees were amazing, service was top notch. Customer service was above all I have received in my career. It was amazing to see this crew go above and beyond to get this equipment back on the front lines. I am not able to express how professional Golden State Fire Apparatus was. I wish I could have been there in person to thank them for the outstanding customer service they provided to a small fire department from out of state. Would recommend them to any and all fire departments in need of assistance

There are very few times I will sit down to write a review. To me this one is important because we have been doing business with Golden State Fire Apparatus for over twenty years and feel very fortunate for our relationship with them. In this day and age it is less and less likely to find a true "family owned" business, and GS is no exception. Not only are they family owned but they treat their customers like family.

The customer service we receive from Golden State is like no other vendor we deal with. They have always taken the time to address our needs and the follow up is fantastic. They recognize these needs and work closely with us to build some of the finest fire engines in the bay area. Above all of that, the thing that we appreciate most about Golden State Fire Apparatus is their consistency. There are very few places where you can show up a year, three years, six years later, even twenty years in our case, and the same exact people are working there. Consistency is very important in the fire service and we have always felt comfortable knowing that the Golden State family will be there for us now, and several years into the future!
