Mezcal Grill

We've been to Mezcal Grill several times and each time was consistently good. Service was excellent. The waitstaff talked to us and took time to describe menu items. Menu items emphasized traditional Mexican cooking. Any guest we have taken there has put Mezcal on their list of "must return " restaurants.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and lively. They have an extensive drink menu, including special old fashion mixed with mezcal. The food itself is fine and nothing too amazing but for the price point of around 15$ for Chile Verde I'm not mad at all. Self serve chips and salsa bar also makes it a plus for me. Additionally, they even have other items that are fancier. We requested no cheese, normally the beans come with cheese. Beans don't taste overly processed. It's good.

The service was great, the inside of the restaurant is clean and so cute. There are houseplants everywhere, like massive snake plants and vining plants climbing on the brick wall. had a the smothered burrito and a side of guacamole, both of which were amazing. If I lived on Sacramento, I would definitely come back!
