“Sequoia md, specially Kristen has been an absolute god send. I’ve struggled with doctors pushing and pulling me around to the ‘right’ path in regards to medication and addiction therapy. After being seen by Kristen nearly monthly for about 3 years, my medications are under control, to say I’m not on all the medications I was on when I came to her. She cropped out all the medication that was doing more harm than good and got me on a good regimen on the minimal amounts that I need without forcing these decisions on me. She guided me and assisted me to the right decision and allowed me to make the informed decision. Being an addict, regardless of how long I have been sober it is important to me to have some semblance of control on my medication, like I said she has allowed me to make the correct informed decision. I’ve been taken off about 90% of the non essential medications that I was told by other doctors outside of sequoia who misdiagnosed me and I have to say I feel better now than I have in over a decade. Relationships with my family and friends are being repaired and I can think clearly and am happy. Sequoia staff will be there for you in your darkest hours. My family sees the old me shining through not the medicated and out of it person I was while using the copious amounts of medications that were prescribed irresponsibly by other doctors I was on that was fogging my thoughts and actions. I’m sharp and quick witted and capable of being the man I want to be. I was over prescribed extremely high doses of psych meds and not monitored at all for about a decade, over the last 3 years I’ve seen Kristen she has weaned me down slowly, efficiently and safely to bring the best version of myself to the forefront. Very little to no withdrawals or unpleasant side effects following her course of action. You are never in the dark and you are in the loop the entire time during your treatment plan. I trust Kristen and sequoia with an unwavering certainty that Kristen and the office want what’s best for me, proof is in the results that they have accomplished with me. Trust the process; it will pay off. The gift of knowing your doctors care for you and getting my life back is a gift that can never be repaid.
