S/o to the state park officer Jarrod (I hope I got his name right!) Extremely friendly and helpful. The park itself it worthwhile to visit as well if you’re in town.
San jaun bautista is a wonderful Historic little Town I visited 10 days ago mainly because of "Alfred Hitchcocks" film Vertigo, I stumbled upon a Spanish/ American Festival with Street foods and many other goods, there was a band playing such a wonderful atmosphere, the people were so happy and welcoming. I spoke with Linda in her little Store "Vintage Curosity" she was very interesting to talk to and informed me where in town I could sleep in my car as I was touring the States on the cheap. Next morning after a piecefull night I went for breakfast at the little dinner with red & white chequered floor the lady was great, wonderful Coffee & tasty toast and marmalade, next I visited "Windmill Market" this was the best little Supermarket I stopped at whilst in the States for 3 weeks highly recommend. I was sad to leave many folk said come back and see us again, fantastic slice of old traditional America i loved it. 👌❤️
A must to visit for those interested in history. Great historic park, very well maintained and super friendly volunteers. First Saturday of the month "Living history days".
It is my first time at this place, which I never knew existed. The mission has a cool church and it was partially turned into an awesome museum. There is a decent size onsite free parking as well as free street parking
It’s a historical place so if you have someone from native town, you will love knowing about the region. There are some interesting stories about here. I had one of my friends who has been living here since very long and she gave me a guided tour to the town.
1) I saw the church and got to know that it is never closed since it was open
2) I saw the old original 101 fwy
3) the museum/ Botanical
Garden
4) historic square architecture
5) a lot of dry fruits trees around
5) Red peppers tree
And a lot.
I actually loved know the history associated with it.
Thank you to my friend and her husband for being kind and giving a lot of information about the town and the park.
