Skyview Motel

clean rooms, friendly staff, economical rates. good for somewhere to hide out & kick back for an hour or two during the day. a/c, TV. no fridge

good place for those "quick getaways". its a waste to pay the price for a room for all night when you're only gonna stay acoupla hours...nice to have the option.

Small rooms but very quiet and clean.

So we recently stayed at the Skyview for the first time in nearly 30 years. We never went back after the first stay because the place was WAY too much like the Bates Motel back then (no a/c etc) . LOL. But we had hears that recently the place was totally redone, Wow, it was super. The rooms are totally cool. Very retro mid-modernish. The community areas (including awesome fire pit) are so well done. And we had a unit with our own fire pit out back - loved it! The food at their restaurant (Normans - wonder where that name from ;) was excellent! The bar and pool area are pretty cool too albeit rather to hip for a couple of old queens like us. (Will you hipsters please ditch the giant ice cube in cocktail kick and get mid-century in that regard!) If not for the so so cocktails, we probably would have rated five stars. We will definitely go back!!!!!
