Happy Trails Rental

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we absolutely loved the experience!

The customer service we experienced was second to none. It was a pretty chilly day and Ben provided us with not only a giant blanket and gloves, but also a windbreaker for us as he realized we came underdressed. We were treated fantastic throughout the experience, the small details included by Ben and his team really made our experience memorable.

For a recommendation for future users. Come when its a bit warmer (anytime but winter, others dress for the weather!) and make sure to stop at the lunch spot. It is not recommended, it is REQUIRED.
It was by far the most beautiful spot on the trail and I could not have asked for a better spot to eat and rest after a long journey.

My family very much enjoyed renting through Happy Trails Rental. The online booking was smooth, the reminder emails helped, the extra blankets/goggles/gloves that were provided by Ben the owner were appreciated and the GPS navigation was great as a 1st time off road driver.

What really stood out was the customer service as we somehow snuck onto the rental calendar for December 31st but Ben did not cancel our reservation. Much appreciated and much respect.

If you want an amazing experience off roading, Happy Trails Rental is the only place to go to.

Could not have been a better experience, from start to finish. The team at Happy Trails treated our group with such amazing respect, patience, etc. Communication was 10/10, customer service was 10/10, and the list goes on and on. Loved this experience. We will 100% be back next year.

There are moments in your life that will stay with you forever. Our experience with Happy Trails and Ben, the owner, was most definitely one of them. As part of our trip to Joshua Tree National Park, we arranged a dune buggy and star gazing trip with Happy Trails. From the moment we arrived we felt special and welcome. Ben and his right hand man, Tony, were jovial and easy going. They were observant and could tell that this was an experience that my family and I were truly excited about. Knowing that, and after thorough explanations on how to drive and be safe in the dune buggy, Ben took us on a two hour (over 42 miles) journey that was simply outrageously fun. Driving that buggy over rocks and hills, through valleys and over a dried up lake bed, Ben gave us the experience of a lifetime. Over the course of the ride, we’d stop and Ben would take amazing pictures of our family. Then we’d get in the dune buggy and go again. To culminate, Ben brought us to our “camp” that was so cozily set up with a fire and recliner chairs. There were drinks and snacks and s’mores ingredients. Ben left us so that we could spend time as a family at that camp and star gaze in the desert, which honestly was life changing. He gave us no time limit and said when we were ready he’d come to get us. I honestly didn’t want to leave. And, I can say that we will return to desert, not only because it’s beautiful, but because we know we can’t wait to return to Happy Trails to make more life memories.

We loved everything about this experience! I booked the 4 person Polaris on the Happy Trails website for my birthday getaway in Joshua Tree with 3 friends and we did the 2 hr trail loop. The morning of the trip Ben called to make sure we had the proper address and directions. When we arrived Ben and Tony had the vehicle and our protective equipment ready for us. After a quick rundown of vehicle tips and safety, we were let loose to follow the GPS trail we chose. There was tons of elevation change and loads of photo ops along the way, And even a bathroom along the route. We had a warm day, but make sure you load up with gloves (they will provide you with some if you don’t have your own), scarves and windbreaker type of jackets. There were plenty of opportunities to switch drivers so we all had a chance to be at the wheel. The day we were out no one was really on the trail so we practically had all of the glorious nature and views to ourselves.
Ben and Tony were awesome, I highly recommend this experience!
