This shop is exceptional. They absolutely saved the day with my daughters first used car. After checking into it two of the technicians called to discuss what the background and issue was and I swear it was like being on Car Talk on NPR. They are genuinely interested in helping their customers which as you all know in this day and age is the exception. I hope not to have transmission issues anytime soon but if I do I'm 100% going to visit this shop again.
As other reviewers have suggested, manager Angel Lucero is a rockstar. Our RV's transmission failed suddenly and catastrophically as we were rolling through Redlands. While Ford and Truck Transmissions were both booked months out, Angel worked with us to have an inspection and estimate worked up in one day, and the entire transmission (including torque converter) in two more! And this during a serious Covid wave, AND the week before Christmas. Most places HATE working on RVs because they are so heavy and tall, and take so much space. Angel was never anything less than gracious, informative, and transparent. He bragged about the quality of his crew, and everything I saw suggested that they deserved it. It's never fun to have a breakdown and, while reasonable, it wasn't cheap, but Angel and his guys saved our vacation.
Awesome Customer Service. The Store Manager Angel is very professional. The whole property is kept very neat and clean. You can tell the staff and mechanics take pride in their work. Angel kept me well informed of the updates on my car. I recommend everyone to AAMCO in Redlands. Ask for Angel store manager he will take care of you. And they guarantee their services.
This is one of the best car shops I've been to. The shop is exceptionally clean, which gives a good vibe to the store. The general manager, Angel, is honest and genuinely wants to help.
My 20 year old car was having issues and several mechanics told me that it was likely the transmission. I don't know much about cars, and Angel could have easily told me the same and charged me for it. Instead, we had an honest conversation about the good and the bad of the car troubles. Ended up not being the transmission and they fixed what was needed. He also threw in a free oil change, which was a nice surprise.
The car feels different to drive. It almost feels like it was upgraded.
He gave me a range for the estimated time for repair and the cost. In the end, it was ready within his estimated time, and cost less than what I expected.
It seems like many car shops get bad reviews because there's no trust and misaligned expectations. I can say after my experience that I trust Angel and will be returning to him if I have future car problems.
We were walked through the whole process by Angel who lives up to his name. He told us to bring it back in 10 days to make sure we’re still happy with the work. In a year we’ll bring it back for a check up and it has an 18 month warranty.
The car is driving like new. We are over the moon !
