We have jumped around from pediatrician to pediatrician in the desert and have FINALLY found one we adore. Prior to this office, we were frustrated with the common theme of high desert pediatricians who always seem to be in a rush with your child, filthy offices, packed waiting rooms, and staff that is as unfriendly as if they hadn't received a paycheck in months. Dr. Pazdral's office is a breath of fresh air for so many reasons. He's set the bar so high that I don't know if anyone will ever compare.
DR. PAZDRAL IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN THE HIGH DESERT! We found him when searching for a new pediatrician after being repeatedly unhappy at other practices. We polled our OB doctor, the nurses, the staff at St. Mary's Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum. Dr. Pazdral was the only repeat name we heard. EVERYONE loves him. And after seeing him a bunch of times now, I can say with confidence that he's a wonderful pediatrician who still runs his practice in a welcoming old fashioned way. He doesn't see mounds of patients each day on purpose, as he likes to give ample time to the patients he does see. For this reason, he's always patient with my children, gives them all the time they need, and I have ALWAYS gotten a same day appointment when I have a sick child. He approaches each sickness or issue with the appropriate sense of urgency and concern. If he needs to, he'll see your child every day until he/she is well. This happened recently with my newborn baby. Dr. Pazdral didn't come at him with tons of medication, instead he saw him daily and watched him incredibly close for the appropriate signs and symptoms associated with the illness. He will schedule all your children in one session if necessary so he can take care of all their checkups. And I swear, he's like a walking encyclopedia. He knows all the right things to say and do for concerned parents, and gets concerned right along with you. If ever he's not sure about a particular condition or needs more info, he researches and researches until he knows the answer.
And from the old fashioned perspective, he pretty much calls daily until your child is well to just check in. If you call the office after hours and reach the answering service, he personally calls back each after hours call. When his staff is at lunch, he answers the phone himself, so as not to miss emergency calls. Who does that?!? SO AWESOME! And even though he's old fashioned, he doesn't miss out on the latest and greatest research. He's always telling us about new studies or new procedures. He's the best of both worlds, customer service and patient care from the old fashioned part of him, and the latest and greatest from today.

I've been taking my children to Dr. Pazdral for over 15 years and I've never had any issues. He's always very thorough and takes time to answer any questions. I've never met a doctor as thorough as Dr. Pazdral. If one of my children are sick, his office always manages to get them in the same day. He and his staff are the best!
LOVE him and his staff. My son is not an easy child to handle, and they always make the best of a difficult situation.
