Ember & Rye

This restaurant is pricey but 1000% worth every penny! Delicious food (the best fries I've ever eaten and I will dream about the garlic croissants). Staff super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable

Ember and Rye is our local, special events venue. We have never been disappointed and today was no exception. We celebrated my husbands birthday and it was exceptional. The perfectly prepared rib eye for him, the newly added Chilean Sea Bass for me. Both dishes were delicious and the spicy broccoli, creamy potatoes and the crab cake starter were just scrumptious. The service was as always, attentive, courteous and professional.
We love living so close to this lovely venue and will be here again very soon!

This is a beautiful establishment. We brought my mom here for her birthday and the experience made her feel as special as we had hoped.

Meat doesn't excite me, so I'll leave those reviews to others. The side dishes we enjoyed most were: garlic croissants (just thinking of them makes me salivate), corn creme brulee (sounds odd, but it's so good - we had to order a second!) and squash blossoms. The mango yolk in the avocado tostada is a fun, fascinating experience and tastes fine, but the dish's overall flavor didn't knock our socks off.

Most of all, the service was superb. I don't get to enjoy restaurants as much as I once did because I often need an accommodation and hate asking for it. When someone doesn't flinch at the request and seems to genuinely care that I'm comfortable, it enables me to let down my guard and soak up all the goodness - it means a lot :)

I have been following Richard's story and since Top Chef. It's funny how you can become so enthralled watching someone cook on TV and just know what they're making is delicious.
We live in Connecticut where there are zero Blais establishments, so when we learned of the plans for Ember and Rye we knew we had to make a point to get out to California to eat there. So that is exactly what we did. Our entire vacation revolved around multiple E&R reservations in an effort to try as many dishes as possible and it did not disappoint. The most notable surprise for me was the Cauliflower Pot Roast which may very well be one of the best things I've ever eaten.
Great atmosphere. EXCELLENT and unique signature drinks. Quality ingredients.
Traveling across the country for a meal was worth it. So worth it, in fact that were about to do it again.
