Carlsbad Lagoon Recreation Area

Great spot for any event! We had my daughters 13th birthday party at the Carlsbad Lagoon over the weekend and it was awesome. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Any question or concern I had was responded to immediately. Everything from booking the party to the day of the event was so easy and pain free. I highly reccommend hosting your events here from big to small they can handle it all.

We took our inflatable boat there. Only $19 for the day, (you can get an annual past too) they have different sections for the water skiers, and the paddle boards, and the jet skier's, very safe) and we had a blast. Have lived in north county for years and never been there. Man alive, very cool place. Next time we are gonna rent the jet skis or paddle boards. No fishing, but we just went to the beach to fish. What a fun day! We will be back!

Water sports rental facility was well staffed with knowledgeable and friendly employees. For someone not experienced with driving boats, the rental orientation made me feel safe and prepared for my excursion on the lagoon. Our two hour session on the Runabout was fantastic and made for the perfect family picnic on the lagoon. Restrooms were clean and there was plenty of parking on our arrival. Gift shop had plenty of sunscreen, hats, snacks, and products for waterproofing phones and things like cash and cards. Overall we had an enjoyable experience and would definitely come back on our next trip to Carlsbad.

First time visit and the 2hr SUP was a great experience. The facility was well organized, efficient, and very friendly. My daughters and I had a blast paddle boarding and the 2 hrs flew by. We will definitely come back for the speed boat or pontoon rental next. Having a small public beach area near the rental shop was nice to enjoy our lunch prior to leaving. Suggestion: Go early in the day for SUP for less wakes and bring your own chairs for the beach area.
