Carlsbad State Beach

This place is like my friend Joe Feingold from high school. He was totally burned out and loved heavy metal, skipped a lot of classes, and usually was smoking a cigarette in the bathroom stall. He seemed like he didn't wash his hair very often, and he played a lot of air guitar and drove an El Camino that leaked oil all over the teacher's parking lot. He ended up dating the assistant principal, and he carried a comb in his back pocket right next to his switch blade. He had a black Harley wallet with a chain, a leather belt with a shiny buckle, and black jeans with holes in the knees. I loved eating with him in the cafeteria. I think I was his best friend. It would've been so fun if I had gone to his house on the weekend and stayed the night, and we stayed up late and listened to The Ramones and Black Sabbath and rocked out. That's what this place is like.

Looking for a beautiful San Diego beach with easy access to parking! This beach is perfect spot for sunbathing and relaxing in the sun! Carlsbad State Beach ⛱️ Quite, low key!

Beautiful and flat beach on lower tide. Makes for a great place to go for a run or leisurely walk.

Loved this wide pale sand beach, with rolling waves that occasionally connect for long stretches. It's like dancing waters, when shore breakers are sizable. The foam jumps & dances, before plummeting back down.

Surfing this beach, looked challenging...at least it did for the guy we watched. The problem, I saw on this day, were most waves here crash too close to shore.

My wife & I sat in our beach chairs, right on a cusp of a sand hill that slowly drops to the shore & breakers. Waves were a pretty blue color, farther out, yet white, nearer to shore.

As the morning wore on, the wind picked up, & the waves & ocean water got rippled & waves lost a lot of their form

The hillsides here, are well landscaped, & beautiful.
