264 Fresco

I held a Bridal Shower for my daughter here because Fresco has been one of my favorite places to treat my family on special occasions or a date night with my husband. The cabanas were a perfect spot for a ladies brunch. The valet took great care of our party right from the start on a busy Saturday of Summer. And the restaurant let us in right at opening to decorate two cabanas. Kylie was our server and I was so happy because she was wonderful to me when I came in for a quick bite/drinks to scope out the upstairs location before booking it. The upstairs bar is fantastic. On the day, we were well taken care of and never rushed( I’ve never felt rushed in over 10 years of coming to Fresco). We ladies had a great time and the food and drinks were delicious. Kylie was great at getting us everything we asked for. My friends and relatives were very impressed and count me lucky to have Fresco in the neighborhood. Oh and the Brunch Pizza is outstanding. Thank you Fresco. You made my daughter’s special day wonderful.

We had lunch on the roof top. The view is nice. I believe they are having a hard time finding help , as a result service was not good. Roasted Artichoke and the pizza was good. Baked Rigatoni was very cheesy and I wish they used ground sausage instead of cubed ones.

A couple blocks from the ocean this place has the best ocean views and Carlsbad views from the deck up top. Great cocktails as well as pizza and seafood. As a vacationer, tourist to Carlsbad this was a great stop during the lunch hour, but would be beautiful up top in the evening as well. Nice friendly staff. The Deck @ 264 Fresco is a must if you are in Carlsbad, CA.

Venturing into the enchanting seaside town of Carlsbad, California, I found myself dining at the acclaimed 264 Fresco. This vibrant Italian restaurant, renowned for its contemporary twist on classic Italian cuisine, offered a delightful dining experience despite a few misses.Upon arrival, the restaurant's warm, rustic interior exudes a comforting charm, reminiscent of an Italian bistro nestled in the heart of Tuscany. The extensive patio provides an inviting atmosphere for al fresco dining, making it an ideal spot for a balmy Californian summer evening.The service at 264 Fresco was commendable. From the moment we walked in, the staff's friendliness and attentiveness enhanced our dining experience. The servers were well-versed with the menu and happy to accommodate dietary preferences and answer queries regarding the dishes, a gesture that was greatly appreciated.The restaurant's food journey, however, had its highs and lows. A standout was the homemade lobster ravioli, a luxurious medley of tender pasta stuffed with rich, creamy lobster filling, coated in a light, luscious sauce. The pizza, with its perfectly crisp crust and authentic Italian toppings, was another highlight.However, a couple of dishes didn't meet my high expectations. The gnocchi dish, lacked a certain je ne sais quoi that could have elevated it from good to exceptional. My husband loved his seafood pasta and my kids loved their food.
Despite these culinary shortcomings, the wine list is worth mentioning. It was diverse, featuring a variety of domestic and imported options catering to a range of palettes and budgets. The dessert offerings were delightful as well, particularly the tiramisu, which offered a decadent end to our meal.While 264 Fresco shines in many aspects - its charming ambiance, excellent service, and some standout dishes - there's room for improvement when it comes to consistency in the culinary offerings. It's certainly worth a visit, especially for those craving an Italian feast in a cozy, inviting setting. I'd rate my experience a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

The Orange Panzanella and Prosciutto melon was amazing. The lobster bisque not so good, more like a tomatoe with lobster base. The waitress was obviously having a bad day. Not one smile, not one thank you. She was not really paying much attention. Too bad because the salads were great. The fruit nice and sweet the dressings balanced.
