a) The City water main connection staff visit early 2021 helped me identify specific exterior plumbing issues that were causing outside and interior problems. Jones Valve and exterior regulators working reliably and new piping to ensure no hidden water leaking/loss a must. A local plumbing company diligently put solutions in place. What a difference.
b) Carlsbad is one-of- a- kind quality because strict local rules and measures are in place to prevent problems. If only there was a state regulation requiring Sellers (and Landlords ) to disclose dates and receipts of heating vent inspections; ensure no abandoned heating or AC systems on property, and legal refrigerants are factually in AC system.
c) Our local police department is doing an exceptional job of diligently helping our townhome property identify and have towed abandoned and/or unregistered vehicles etc. This is so huge to help keep us safe and our neighborhood safe. Stolen cars, parts, license plates and whatever else matters---even if appears insignificant.
d) I am thankful Carlsbad is my permanent home. Peace of mind matters. But, there is one thing I have for the last three years increasingly wondered about---in just plain observing. There should be a main phone number where one can report on a voicemail--specific locations of continuous volumes of water loss due to broken irrigation sprinklers on private residential or corporate properties. Owners or managers don't notice it. Cameras don't pick up something like that. Gorgeous properties, well maintained including removal of fire fuel materials surround us. This is more of an idea or comment. It takes time for owners to notice this unintentional irrigation issue. I think people would be happy to learn their system has a easy to fix problem and would timely doing it--saving, conserving water.
e) I could not be more grateful Carlsbad is my home.
