Sunrise at La Costa

My sister has been a resident of Sunrise Memory Care for the last five months and the care she is receiving is outstanding. My sister enjoys living at the facility and engages in the activities they offer including supervised outings. Her health and wellness has improved vs. living at home. Communications between staff and the family has been very good providing routine updates on her health and activities.

Working at Sunrise for past 8 years that tells, it’s a great place to work. Coordinator are great, we have all the tools that we need to do our duties, head departments are there to help us with all the support that we need, staff members are great to support each other. I enjoy working with seniors and I try my best to keep my residents busy by doing activities with them as well as I keep myself busy with them. The community is nice and clean. I’m very pleased to be a part of Sunrise team.

I enjoy the residents in the community. They are active and enjoy activities. Very social and caring, enjoy new comers and make them feel at home. The staff are constantly thanked and loved by the residents as they appreciate the personalized care due to building trusting rapports with the residents. Staff attend continuous trainings to maintain knowledge and safety for the care of the residents.

Sunrise Senior Living, La Costa is a fabulous community. I have worked in healthcare for 14 years, all over San Diego County. I can honestly share that I would recommend this community to loved ones. The staff and care are superior, the decor and homes are modern but cozy, and the activities are engaging. Our whole team enjoys working with Sunrise. Thank you for serving the Carlsbad area.

Although the leadership change at Sunrise At La Costa has been challenging, it is apparent that the staff is dedicated, caring, and professional. They work hard and diligently to care for the residents and their needs. I am unfamiliar with the new director, however, I am very familiar with and pleased with the staff I encounter. The front desk people are always friendly and welcoming, the med techs are knowledgeable and helpful, housekeeping is thorough and efficient, the nurses are caring and present.

Overall my mom is very happy, loves living at Sunrise and has made a new best friend. She enjoys the daily interaction with staff and other residents, loves the food and the activities and outings provided.

Thank you to all the staff including those who work behind the scenes providing good food, good service and a clean environment.

I see Sunrise making improvements in the facility … new carpeting and paint and furnishings… but more importantly they focus on the residents, knowing them and getting to know their family members as well. It is a lovely community and I am pleased, as is my mom.
