What a joy finding Bliss Yoga in Encinitas was a few months ago - a locally owned business with a beautiful energy and healing space. I am a beginner and attend the 9:30am class week days and 9am class on Saturday. Additionally I have attended other events here including an evening breath work class which was exceptional. You can tell Lorraine the owner loves her business and she is such a nice and warm person. This is by far one of my most favorite discoveries since moving to Encinitas a fee years ago.
Loraine's class was the perfect mix of muscle activation and stretching- refreshed my body and mind and spirit. She is working with me through my pregnancy and has knowledgeable accommodations to adapt for prenatal yoga and the changing body. Overall, she's a wonderful person and she has a beautifully clean and heated and comfortable studio space.
Bliss Yoga is a wonderful healing space that is led a walking angel on earth. Lorraine walks her talk and is a true angel on earth. I highly recommend Bliss Yoga and Lorraine's services to anyone who is looking for community, healing and wholeness.
I also highly recommend the nutritional products that are available at Bliss Yoga.
Lorraine is a wonderful yoga teacher! I've been studying and practicing yoga for over 30 years, and she's one of the best teachers I've ever taken a class with. I'm definitely planning on returning! It was obvious she knew what she was doing. She was able to "hold space" for the students in an unobtrusive way, and yet she was clearly "leading" the class. She was calm and focused, and explained each of the poses very clearly. Something else she did that I really enjoyed, was that she spoke to the physical benefits of each of the poses - that is, which organs they worked on, and in what beneficial way.
Another plus for me (having scent sensitivities) was what WASN'T part of the class - there were no essential oils! This was just a pure, unadulterated yoga class. (Even the students showed up without perfume or cologne on.) It seems in the Western world, people have taken yoga and attempted to do all kinds of fancy things with it; sprinkling essential oils in the class, burning incense or scented candles, and so forth. Given one of the most important aspects of yoga practice is deep breathing, it makes no sense to be utilizing products in the room that interfere with one's ability to breathe! Lorraine knows this, and her class is sensible in this respect. She has a lovely presence in her class and the soothing environment she created was palpable. I left feeling energized & uplifted, yet incredibly calm.
I honetly never write any reviews because it takes time and effort to really explain the experience in depthπππ
