Julian Grille

Cute place, tasty food & great service. I had the trout almondine & my husband had the ribeye. Both we're good. The baked brie appetizer was amazing. We also enjoyed the chocolate cake! When we first walked up it was very off-putting to see 2 different signs directing us to be nice & respectful...ect. It made us anticipate bad service & attitudes & to basically not complain about it. Not a good way to set the mood, but we gave it a try & weren't disappointed.

The food was probably the best in Julian. The girls do their best, but the service is a little slow. But the food made up for that.
The burger was amazing and the fries are crispy and delicious.
The chicken noodle soup was more like a pot pie filling with noodles, not your traditional broth. My girlfriend loved it.

If you want to do something different from visiting the usual Gaslamp, Little Italy, North Park or going to some of the beaches, this is a great place to visit. Julian it's a beautiful mine town on the side of the mountains in San Diego County, and has to offer many different activities. We found this place in Julian to have lunch it was a great experience overall. The food is good with a homemade touch, which for me is always good because it makes it unique. The place is clean and the service is excellent. I had the pork ribs and were really good, the salad, the fries also good. The dressing apple pecan vinaigrette was delicious to accompany the salad and the berries a la mode with ice cream was outstanding. I recommend this place if you visit Julian, there were other places quite busy, and this one was great and with availability and fluid visitors coming and going.

Great place to eat after a nice local hike. Good food value, great flavor, and dog friendly... We're in! Staff was prompt and friendly, ample outdoor seating for those with canine companions.
