“We had a great time and will definitely revisit for a longer stay. RELEARNING to camp was exciting and fun, even with the hiccups we faced. Make sure you bring enough blankets, it gets cold at night... sleeping bag rated for 30 degrees was not enough for me... smiley face. Night skys were beautiful.”

“A cozy little spot to get away, the view of the lake is fantastic, close enough to Julian, you can get there in just a few minutes, but you still have plenty of privacy. If you’ve got kids it’s a great place to rent. WiFi is fast and reliable, plenty of entertainment options for the whole family in and around the cabin. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Julian!”

“Cute and quiet campground with flushable toilets and warm showers. Some campsites are a bot close to each other and have no privacy at all. Very clean and well taken care of campground which also has cabins. The only problem is that the road is right next to the campsites. The cars cause noise throughout the day and night.”

“This place is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Such a serene place, with a secluded feel while at the same time being conveniently close to the cute town of Julian. We came last year for our anniversary, and again this year for our anniversary. It was just as wonderful the second time. The llamas are so much fun to feed. The room is clean and has such fun decor. We stay at Stargazer when we come, and we love the private jacuzzi. The bed is the most comfortable in the world, and we get the best sleep here. Thank you, Chris, for your wonderful hospitality.”

“A must on your "Bucket List". If you love horses & camping, this is the place for you. New comers recommend getting a map to enjoy all the trails & to stay safe out there. Us serious riders, there is usually water at the springs. Ranger may not always know the conditions out there, so network with other advance riders. There's something for everyone. Don't forget the "Lake Ride"! 🏞️”

“We had a wonderful time at Kokopelli's Hideaway. The road in had some neighbors with dusting and cleaning problems but you quickly leave that behind. Once you get to Kokopelli's Hideaway gate, the enchantment begins. Well maintained and beautifully decorated with the innkeepers own artwork. Don't miss this place, it is a treasure. Sheri”

“Requires a bit of ground clearance to head down the road to the further spots but well worth it. Close to the highway though so there is some noise but at night there's a lot of solitude. Love this place and I'm hoping to come back soon.”

“This is our first time in this RV park in Julian. It was recommended by a friend. I called to make a reservation and the person who I talked to was friendly and answered my question. I requested for a secluded spot and the one we were assigned was spacious for our RV Trailer & vehicle. The site was partial hookup and the RV park has 2 dump areas. The building in front of the reception area has a clean bathroom with showers. We had our son’s dog with us and it was a dog friendly park. There was a dug out fire pit and it was nice to finally have a campfire. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with the exception of the wasps during our meals outside. They seem to like meat.”

“Wonderful little camp site. I had a great weekend. Saw some wild turkeys with their babies on the campsite. I got to feed the friendly burrows there too. My sister and I stayed at t2 and liked it.”

“Just what I needed to unwind and relax. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and inviting. I loved the decor and the heated toilet seat, bidet and jacuzzi tub in my suite! You can’t beat the lakeside views. The delicious complimentary breakfast made mornings easier and room service meals were tasty. I loved the meditation room for my mind and the gym for my body. Quiet Mind is a great getaway destination.”

“We had the most wonderful stay!! The hospitality was truly amazing and the property is gorgeous. It truly felt like we were right at home. Favorites included the beautiful deck (great for stargazing!), the dogs, and the breakfast. COME HUNGRY -- Jim cooks an amazing breakfast and you can expect a few surprise sweet treats to make appearances during your stay. Conveniently located just a few steps off the main drag, it was the perfect home base for the weekend.”

“We booked this cabin through VRBO, and my extended family stayed here for 2 nights. The cabin slept 14, not 15, as the listing suggested. Room 1 had one queen bed and one full bed (4 people); room 2 had one queen bed and one king-or-two-twins trundle (4 people); room 3 had one king bed (2 people); room 4 had one king-or-two-twins trundle (2 people); and the living room had a sleeper sofa (2 people). 2 bathrooms for 15 people was a tight squeeze, but we made it work. The decor was classic woodsy cabin. The kitchen worked well, and was very well stocked, although we wished there was a table we could all sit around (the dining table only sat 8 comfortably). But the living space was very comfortable, wifi worked well, and we had a great time in this cabin.”

“Stayed at the Butterfield B&B for four nights and had an exceptional time. Dawn’s breakfast every morning was excellent and we enjoyed chatting with them after breakfast in the comfort of their cozy dining room. The common spaces were well kept and inviting, perfect for board games and a glass of wine. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable and tidy. I will be recommending this place to anyone who comes to Julian! Thank you Dawn and Ed for an amazing stay!”

“Stayed for the weekend with my partner. It rained so we didn’t get to use the deck or hot tub. But we are looking forward to coming back and using them next time. The property is beautiful and secluded. The cabin was clean and cozy. The owners communicated excellently during the booking process and left clear directions how to get to the property as well as how to enjoy it. We also saw dozens of wild turkey, 3 deer and lots of different birds visiting the bird feeders right by the window to enjoy watching them while we snuggled on the love seat sipping our coffee. Aptly named the couples cabin. We can’t wait to come back.”

“Very quiet and beautiful views! There is a cute little enclosed back yard with a mini waterfall and a bistro table to sit and enjoy some coffee or breakfast at while watching the wildlife. Good price too!”

“My family and I visited for a few hours. The weather was perfect and the views are beautiful. We came on thursday around 1 pm and there were only a few people in sight which I admit, it was very nice haha. I only gave 4 stars because the bathrooms were closed. Only the portapotties were open. Overall it was a great day.”

“We stayed in the 1959 Safeway and had an awesome time. Everyone there was super cool, it was affordable and our trailer was incredible. Beautiful location and so much to do in Julian. The pool was great and our twelve year old made new friends. I highly recommend Pinecrest.”

“I recommend staying at the Apple Tree Inn on you next visit to Julian! The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the A/C worked great. Easy check-in, you'll receive a text message with the code to access your room key. I also liked that the managers number is included in the text, a big plus just in case you need assistance or have questions! Within walking distance you have food, drinks and music! Have fun :)”

“Nice campground. Stayed at sites 46 +49, nice adjoining sites. Facilities are good and well maintained. Showers are 2 min/token, 2 tokens/$1, with a machine outside the showers. Camp fires were allowed while we were there but was told they do ban them based on conditions. Many of the sites toward the back of the campground had steep slopes so be aware. It was VERY buggy, repllent is a must. Squirrels were aggressive and plentiful. State parks employees rounded frequently and enforced rules. We had a great time and will return.”

“I’m amazed at all how complete the kitchen is. The furniture comes from an earlier age. The location is very quiet, being at the end of the road. I would definitely stay here every time u came to Julian.”

“Second time I’ve been here. The first time was back in June 2018. I saw a “Stargazing” sign on the way down to a hike and was curious. I really didn’t know what to expect, maybe some constellation searching or something. But it was way more than that. Mike, the owner, is very prestigious astronomer with about 30 years of experience, working with companies like Meade and being consulted by many other organizations. He built a small house with a rolling roof and has very large and expensive telescopes that he uses to show what the night sky hides in the distance. The things you could see with this equipment is mind blowing. It was so good I decided I wanted to go again with my girlfriend and so we set out and we’re once again amazed by everything in store. Truly a great experience and the best thing is that every month the night sky changes so you are bound to see something new every time. Highly recommend !”

“I'm a wedding photographer and I absolutely loved shooting here. The location is amazing with so many places to get beautiful shots. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but that's typical of Julian on a Saturday. I would love to photograph another wedding here and I thoroughly recommend Oakwood Creek.”

“I adore Nan & Chuck’s cabins. They are close to perfection. Frankly, i can’t think of a single thing that would improve them. After many years, my husband was finally able to accompany me. He loved it too - and he’s a “tough customer””

“The pine hills house was so beautiful and quite. The place was clean and had everything we could need. The location is close enough to Julian yet far enough not to to be private, 5 stars.”
