“Not much parking but very modern, peaceful urban park. Tucked behind Sharp Grossmont Hospital and a memory care residential building, it could easily be missed. With the recent storms, the plants are a bit battered but will hopefully come back full force once we get back into our usual hot climate. Lots of shady places here though and places to sit with some interactive areas for mostly kids but adults will enjoy looking at least once. Also, popular rock hiding spot so bring some of your own or enjoy the hunt. I usually like to relocate one to a different park to give it some mileage. I’ll add photos in just a bit; technical issues but didn’t want to wait to do a write up. Edit: Photos added which gave me a couple more what I would like to say are insights but opinions; park needs to be on a more regular maintenance schedule. It doesn’t need much but everything just looked like it had a coat of dirt over it. Yes, it’s a natural park, etc. but that doesn’t mean a good power wash and trim wouldn’t help.”

“Surrounded by trees, hilly, grassy, and quiet. This serene park is a wonderful respite for playing with your dog, meeting friends and family, reading, practicing, or whatever. It has an enclosed fenced area for dogs as well.”

“Very clean park, was not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of shade. Nice playgrounds for little kids and big kids. Nice hill for kids to roll down. Clean bathrooms. I will definitely be back!”

“Been many times, walked up the mountain with my dog once a week for a few months l, attended events and even a stage play on top of this beautiful mountain. It seems as if now they have a security guard ensuring no one is smoking or drinking which is kind of nice because it's a lot less busy in my opinion. Overall beautiful views in all directions. Ample parking along the road and a few spots near the ampitheater. Must see San Diego landmark.”

“Very Nice Park. Our pupps Loved it. Plenty of room for the fur babies as well as a huge playground for the kiddos. Public restrooms were clean. They even have BBQ grills for public use. Very Clean and Peaceful Park.”

With 2 large play structures and what seems like miles of open refuge for hiking and exploring, your family will truly enjoy this park setting. “Cool park, lots of grassy hills, large and open area for kids of all sizes. This park is a fun on, the surrounding trees provide ample shade. There are tables and a few gazebo areas. The playground is a lot of fun with tunnels and slides galore. Love a park that has slides and swings. There is a fallen tree/log for kids to climb and balance on. We stayed for a couple of hours and there were always other kids to play with. I'd say new kids rotated in about every 30-45 minutes which is something you don't see at every park (there was even a cool dad with a bucket of toys). My favorite part of this park is probably the entrance. It's so fun going over the bridge and there is like a moat type of set up that likely looks so cool during rainy season. Overall just a lovely park with fresh air and space to run and play. Loved it!”
