Jim is a pretty amazing resource for all things steel guitar. He took an hour out of his day to school me up on the considerations and the ins and outs of making an initial purchase.

One thing is evident - He does this as a labor of love. There are no pushy sales tactics. I will be purchasing a steel guitar from him and I would highly recommend anyone interested in the instrument to talk to Jim.

We had two vintage steel guitars that my husband inherited but would have been cost prohibitive to ship across country. Steel Guitars of North County was referred to us so we made an appointment and took them in for them to see. Much conversation later, we sold them to the shop and are so happy that they will, hopefully, become a part of another musical family. The owner was knowledgeable and honest and we felt great about it!!

Jim is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable steel men around. He'll treat you right and you'll probably learn something new along the way. There aren't many steel guitar shops on the planet but we're certainly blessed to have Jim here representing. Great selection, great company and fair prices.
