RISE Physical Therapy

I have received PT services for over 40 years due to a myriad of problems that began with a fractured ankle. With continued overuse of joints and body misalignment, I continued to be in need of PT. I have had 6 PTs in 4 different states and have worked with PTs in my professional career. I know what to look for. RISE Physical Therapy in Oceanside is exceptional. What sets them apart from other PT offices is their model of only working with a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT) for the full treatment period. I’ve been to other great PTs, but they spend 25-30 minutes with a patient, then you are handed off to a PT Assistant. Some models even have patients with the PTA only between the evaluation appointments. NOT at RISE! At all RISE offices patients are with an RPT for the full time. My latest 2 PT treatment focuses have been around a knee replacement and balance. These are 2 very different treatment plans, but both plans incorporate stretching, table work, exercises to achieve functional activities. I have worked with all the PTs in the office and they are talented, profesional, caring. My current issue is not straight-forward and my PT is working with me to find all the underlying causes and target them for treatment. My PT doesn’t just want me to “graduate” with basic daily living skills, but he cares about the quality of my life and my being able to do more than what’s “functional”. He is working with me toward a more active and rewarding life that is the essence of quality of life. I recommend RISE to anyone wanting to achieve their optimal quality of life.

I have had several PT sessions at Rise Physical Therapy in Oceanside. Thanks to the excellent work that Darren Mallinson has done with me, my rotator cuff injury has improved dramatically in a short amount of time. I no longer have to wear Lidocaine Pain Patches throughout the day or night, and my range of motion has improved. Darren is patient, professional, and a true Physical Therapy Expert. In Dec of 22 Ortho North County had me check into their therapy facility in Vista . When I went there there were a lot of people doing therapy, their front desk told me I could not get into that place as it was so booked up, until February that I had to go to the Carlsbad facility. I immediately drove to the RISE office on El Camino Blvd where my wife had been previously for her back problems. I was lucky that day to meet and chat with Darren Mallinson, this was on a Friday afternoon, Darren told me he could get me in on Monday if I had a referral, I called my family Dr. Melissa Hurd, and she sent the referral that day. I have a badly torn rotator cuff and torn ligaments at the age of almost 83 , Darren has proven himself and the RISE company to be the ones you want taking the one on one time to get you back to 100%. My orthopedic surgeon has said that at my age surgery is out of the question, so Darren has me once or twice a week, and has me doing his exercises at home on my days off from the clinic. I am grateful to Darren, if something he wants me to do, hurts he will switch to something that does not hurt. Darren and the RISE crew in Oceanside are the very best in my opinion for therapy issues.
