Beautiful location. Very friendly staff. The trees and the water were breath taking. We rode motorcycles up and down all through the area.
Had terrible cell service so I spent the time actually enjoying the scenery and greenery...RV hookups and plenty of room for tenting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Father's Day weekend. They ran the river during our stay and that really helped the stay, but even without running water, it's a beautiful spot. All the staff were top notch!
The concept is great too, you select your own spot and they have many! You'd be tempted to be as near the water as you can, but be aware the boulders can make a lot of noise throughout the night. A straight run of water is much more conducive for a quiet night.
The only low point was inconsiderate group campers next to us. They did not respect the 10pm Quiet Hours and if the Security Patrol made rounds starting at 10, then that would really help with these issues. Yes, everyone are briefed upon check-in, but not everyone cares enough to respect others.
I just want to stay there forever!
But there are only two showers. One has hot water in Area One. Area 7 has cold water.
It is such a beautiful place to be and it breaks my heart to see campers have no regards for the campgrounds. Litter pretty much every where. I tried my best to pick up trash in my site for the next campers. Folks, be mindful of your trash.
Such a great campground. Just keep in mind unless you have cell service with Verizon u will not have cell service what so ever even the payphones by the office don't work. We come every year and each time we explore a new section of the campgrounds. Also the squirrels here are intense unless you have your food in totes they WILL get into everything!!!
